Cmdr Snuffler

My name is cmdr chaser and I got snuffled, I tried to give it up but running away in a straight line just encouraged snuffling. I've also tried going through the asteroids but it just gave snuffler a pretty view and finally I resorted to exploding from a safe distance, which is another tactic that fails to effect snuffles in anyway apart from the probable sense of disappointment at his prey dieing so easily.
I have a new tactic for next time of running straight into an asteroid to deprive him of a bounty!

Bah, Snuffler is a griefer. He knows it, we know it. Actions speak louder than words (of which he's unsurprisingly silent in the thread).
That's okay though. I am of the opinion that having a squadron hunting you down is a bad thing. But I suspect some people like that sort of thing.
I don't care because I figure grief works more than one way.
Of course, I've been known to take one or two out just because I was in THAT KIND OF MOOD as well. I have several who won't shed a tear over my broken vessel. But give me a 'wag' and we're good. Approach me unprovoked and it's on.

I saw him do the usual on another player so jumped on his tail and destroyed him
Needless to say he came straight back and had another go but I was already running cold and got the first strike again using an anaconda as cover, snuffed him out

Yes you got me fair and square - twice or three times? I was experiencing strange things happening early yesterday evening where I was shooting and hitting but having no effect until I was hit by the other player and they turned red on my radar, then my hits started to do damage. Alas, by that time the lasers were overheating. Very strange. :S
Later on I had some great battles with PhoenixDFire and Jack Boot Thug. 2 vs 1 (never good odds for the guy who´s solo) and I died lots but it was great fun. Laughed my head off when Jack slammed into an asteroid trying to do a runner. I did the same flying backwards while attacking Cmdr Chaos!
I hope nobody takes it personally because I have received a few messages from certain people voicing their disapproval at my actions. There are people who I will not attack out of respect - and they know who they are (with exception of John Stabler because he´s on my hit list), but if anybody would like to come to some mutual arrangement of non-aggression then just message me. The FIS is not without sympathy or beyond understanding in such cases, and neither am I. You can trust me, I´m a Fed.

Am just trying to find excuses for my shameful flying/tactics and i really dont mind being wiped out by you or anyone...i will just get even later!

Ive been taken down by well known Commanders and ive taken some of them down, its early days and everything up for testing/grabs, when game finally released then i will take it more seriously.

DISCLAIMER: Exaga never called me "old fart crybaby whiner" (or any other insulting names), I just did.
He took me by surprise in Impeccable Defence, and it took a while for my frail ego to recover, sorry about the drama.
Now I see this as a mental learning experience: watch your six, be always vigilant, chill out - this is just Alpha
One point I'd like to add: if you want to blast me to smithereens in Impeccable Defence, please mount a frontall assault first, as I play the scenario first and foremost as PvE co-op (as I think the devs intended it to be) so surprise attack gives you only a quick kill, no real* combat practise. In the other scenarios pretty much everything goes of course, just try to keep in mind that team killing isn't cool. Thanks.

Ah i see, while am sure Exaga will reply in his good time for my part i will watch out for you, dont put yourself down i bet your actually quite good already.
As for all those out there thinking their great already, i hope not otherwise your gonna have a very short enjoyable game, am ok(at times!) but i want the long learning curve to be a better piliot, want to figure out those hard to do maneuvers, have some skill in fighting and knowing how to evade my enemies.
Am yet along way off from that and am happy(more game-play and hopefully one day i will be good)
Just remember even piliot ACES of past wars can come to a sticky end at some point, the Red Baron for one, just needs a bit of skill and damn lot of luck!..... i will fear no one but i will respect them
@Zieman : don´t worry about it. We all get frustrated in the heat of battle. You just have to take the rough with the smooth and get on with it. This is *our* time. Revel in it and hold your head up high.
@Illu Minti : I´m really sorry about the problems in alpha this evening. Something is just not right with the instancing or the controls, or both. It´s strange and I just can not seem to work out what´s the problem for me. Although maybe if we can both avoid crashing into boulders blindly we might get a chance at a good battle? lol

I saw you and someone else getting it on with snuffler tonight. He's a slippery customer for sure. He was invulnerable once when I shot him. He got me a few times, I got him once. But he was weakened already.

It started after the alpha 2.02 update. I sometimes fire and although I´m hitting I do not damage but I get the bounty on my head. It´s not until the target hits me that I can do damage. This only happens with human players. Npc is fine all the time. Sometimes my cockpit screen cracks and I lose all power - this can be when my hull is 65-85%. That happens a few times this evening. From day to day the environment changes and can be unfamiliar every occasion. I seem to have lost a lot of control and versatility from my ship too. Many of the manoeuvres I have trained for and strive to perfect seem dampened or deminished lately. Maybe Snuffler got bored of being owned by the FIS and sabotage my ship (LOL just kidding)
I´m sure the devs are testing out new stuff and this is what´s making a difference. It sure is strange though. Hope normality returns soon.

I had similar problems as you two tonight as well, firing on targets but getting no damage to begin with.
The power thing to, not sure if thats a problem though, i had a cracked screen and lost power for several seconds but suddenly came back for me to get two more kills before someone finished me off.
Funny i was just thinking ive learned how to strafe this evening and i am hoping they dont nerf that in any way(it was very very useful!)
Guess we will have to expect changes as Alpha and Beta go along....

When I lose power it never recovers. I just have to wait until my ship explodes.
There will be many changes in alpha before the devs work out things and are happy. We´ll just keep playing and testing and enjoy every second of it!
And Feds also got Exaga too Although weakened and it maybe wasn't fair fight, but he got me twice, so...payback

It might be the way that networking is working which causes these problems for me since alpha 2.02 was released. I shall do more testing.

I totally support your actions because you took the initiative and gained revenge. Never think or feel emotion about such things. Do or do not, but never regret and never look back. Cmdr Snuffler hi, i have heard great words for your skills on ED and i want to ask for your help on my dilemma. I am new on space sims and olso on ED and i use an xbox 360 controller but now i am thinking to get a joystick. So i am between Thrustmaster t-flight x and Thrustmaster T-16000m (i dont want to spend alot of money yet). The first has separate throttle but the second has more precise. I am comfused and i hope a veteran Cmdr like you to help me. Thanks for your time and have nice flights and hope to meet you out there(sorry for my poor english)
