CMDR's Dream: an "In-Game Log"

Hello fellow CMDRs!

I have a dream, and that dream is an Automated Log of my actions. Here's a list of things I wish the game would log, each with a Time Stamp:


  • Hyper Space Jump - Name of System Traveled To


  • Docked at Station - Name of Station - Cargo Manifest when arrived
  • Disembarking from Station - Name of Station - Cargo Manifest when leaving


  • Refueling Cost - Amount of Fuel Purchased, CR Paid
  • Repair Cost - Repair Type (Specific Module, All, Paint Job, etc.), CR Paid
  • Rearming Cost - Ammo Type, Ammo Amount, CR Paid


  • Commodity Goods Purchased - Number of Goods, Price of single Unit, Total CR Cost (All Units)
  • Commodity Goods Sold - Number of Goods, Price per Unit sold, Profit +/- per Unit, Total Profit +/-, Total CR Received (All Units)


  • Black Market Goods Sold - Number of Goods, Price per Unit Sold, Total CR Received (All Units)


  • Collect Bounty Payment Received - Name of Allegiance bounty was associated with, amount of CR Received


  • Module / Weapon Sell - Module / Weapon name & type, amount of CR Received
  • Module / Weapon Purchase - Module / Weapon name & type, amount of CR Cost


  • Ship Sell - Ship name & type, amount of CR Received
  • Ship Purchase - Ship name & type, amount of CR Cost


  • Fine Received - Fine Type (Reason for Offence), The Offended Faction / Group, System where Fine is active, Fine CR Amount
  • Fine Paid & Removed - Fine Type (Reason for Offence), The Offended Faction / Group, System where Fine is active, Fine CR Amount Paid


  • Bounty Active - Bounty Type (Reason for Bounty, Ship Destruction / who what destroyed, Fail to pay Fine, etc.), The Offended Faction / Group, System Where Bounty is Active, Bounty CR Amount
  • Active Bounty Paid Off - The Offended Faction / Group, System Where Bounty is Active, Bounty CR Amount Paid


  • Target Destroyed - Target Name, Target Type, Any and all fines or bounties associated + / - CR


  • Your Ship Destroyed - Name of who got the kill shot, Name of all people who did damage to your ship in the last 10 minutes-ish of combat along along with % of total damage done, ship & component loss cost at time of destruction, insurance cost at time of destruction, System where ship lost, Cargo Manifest at time of ship destruction
  • Insurance Program Ship Buy Back - Basic or Fully Equipped, Total CR Insurance cost, System of Ship Buy Back, Station of Ship Buy Back

I think this would about cover it, I think I'm missing Conflict Zones, but since I haven't done anything with that, I would only imagine it works the same as collecting bounties.

Imagine if we had a log that tracked all of this. Now we'd know how we picked up that fine or bounty, or we can better control our cash flow without having to open up a third party spread sheet, or break out the crayons and the pencils.

Thoughts? Comments?
 
Something vital is missing, also it would more fit the description of "Trade Log"...

Simply the ability to save the last dozen or so Commodities Price Lists and also the ability to compare them to the one where you are docked at. As long as this does not get implemented ( at best with all your suggestions which are planned btw. , have a look at the Design Discussion Archive), I won't be playing anymore.

I'd love a Notepad type functionality to record my musings and travels while SC'ing to distant stations. Would be interesting to read a few years from now.

that would be fun, even to add our own personal notes for a specific system or station. And then have a list of notes we've made. Then I could remember all the Black Market hubs I find. :D
