Newcomer / Intro Cmdr's Log question....

I have Cmdr's Log on my desktop. I have spent some time building a log. I want to know if anyone knows how I can share this with my laptop. Both are on internet, one wifi and desktop cable connected to cable box. I "believe" I have shared it with the laptop. the desktop file is stored on onedrive. I am not having any luck so far

Try setting up a remote network connection from your desktop to your laptop. This should give you access to your Cmdr's Log from your laptop.

so sharing files some way won't do it? I have no idea about how to remote setup. I can read files on laptop from desktop but can not get to cmdr's log file. I think I am doing something wrong but then maybe it is not possible with file sharing.

Try using TeamViewer to create a remote connection.

If I may ask, is the log something that came with the game?

I've just been using a Google Document to note my movements & actions (in Solo play). Obviously, a Google Doc is accessible from anything.

No, it's a third-party tool.

You don't need to use teamviewer to set up a remote desktop connection between two PCs on the LAN. You can use remote desktop for that. Google it, it's very simple.

use dropbox?

Gyrehawk, I was wrong about using a remote connection. Rutg3rO idea about using dropbox will work, but as you are already using OneDrive. Try seeing if this guide provided by PCAdvisor on how to use OndDrive will help: Guide

I was half asleep when I answered the first question and realised what I typed was an incorrect response.
