CMDRs - what is your current mission?

E:D is certainly a game of imagination. Whether it is trading for personal profit, delivering food to a hunger-plagued planet, prospecting, securing a system from criminals while bounty hunting, participating in a civil war, arms smuggling or simply exploring.

So what is your current mission that you have imposed on yourself?
How long does it take to complete and what perils have you encountered?
What was your motivation to pick it up?

My current mission is to gain reputation with Empire by running trade runs in Imperial space. I have a (4) station route that starts at Delta Phoenicis, Trade Station, to wit:
.
  1. Buy Imperial Slaves for export at Trade Station, Delta Phoenicis.
  2. Travel to a high pop extraction station to sell the Imp. Slaves and buy gold for export.
  3. Thence travel to a high pop High Tech station to sell gold and buy Consumer Tech / Progenitor Cells / Performance Enhancers.
  4. Thence travel to a high pop Industrial station to sell the High Tech goods and purchase Crop Harvesters / Marine Equipment for sale at Delta Phoenicis.
  5. Rinse and repeat.
.
So far I have reached friendly status with DP and with the high tech station which is my "base" so to speak. I also intersperse some rares trading to Federal space and return with rares to sell in Imperial Space, for variety. I don't play often due to scheduling, so this is going to be a while. However, I made about 2mil cr yesterday just doing this and only playing for a few hours. :D

After a longer trip of a couple a days where I saw the sights in Sol, spent some time seeing other players, even an evening
in Eravate to get killed by everyone? get into a fight with someone? come one, at least get interdicted by a
CMDR?
experience nothing out of the ordinary, I returned to my remote corner of the galaxy just yesterday.
I somewhat plan to - eventually and after all - get into trading (commodities) a bit but the almost stock Cobra needs some
upgrades first. So, working on that. Might even do this by trying out a Cargo Hatch Breaker on a Viper and pay a visit to
the neighbours (Empire)

To make progress without trading a single credit.

I'm mostly bounty hunting with the odd bit of selling pilfered wares that pirates have dropped. Suffice to say I'm not a rich Cmdr. I fly an mostly A rated Viper, and have about 700k in the bank. Aiming to grind *ahem* kill enough to eventually try out dual Plasma Accels. I have a lot of shooting to do in the meanwhile haha!

To hit Dangerous combat ranking. Once I do that, jump back in the Exploradder and disappear off to take pretty pictures with the new external cam that's coming.

My continuing mission is to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no one has gone before.

(Honestly though, I am trading in my clipper to kit her out)

Acquire an Anaconda. Now that I've done that. fully kit an Anaconda. By the time that's done I'll be looking forwards to Acquiring a federal corvette. And eventually a Clipper panther.

Profession of choice is space trucker.

Right now I'm making the pilgrimage to Sagittarius A*. I'm currently 9000 ly out.

I'll see you there..... not far behind at 5000 ly out (although I've been sidetracked by exploring shiny stuff)

Previous mission : High intensity combat zones (with rares runs to pay for the damage ...to me you fools :D ), still nothing beats the sight of an exploding anaconda at 500
metres away and you running into the expanding debris cloud with enemy fighters on your tail determined to add your ship to the debris cloud.

'not looking forward to 3 hrs of clicking the sell all data on page button when I get back  '

My current mission is to play with the new toys in Beta 1.2 until they take them away. After that the immediate priorities are finish upgrading my Cobra, possible make a start on upgrading my Asp and if there aren't any interesting/profitable community goals forthcoming I plan on visiting the new community space station then heading out into the Orion nebula. After that , who knows.
