NCC CYRENE: Antares Anomaly - Deployable coaster (Video)

Welcome aboard the NCC 1071 "Cyrene" - Research Ship, Class Beresinar.
This here is my first deployable sci-fi themed coaster... and here is something about it :)

( *"twilight zone" voice* )
What's happening in the Antares system? The Federation of United Planets has sent the NCC Cyrene to investigate this unexplored patch of galaxy and its mysterious gravitational anomaly.
The Cyrene is equipped with small reconnaissance ships, if you have what it takes to fly close enough to the strange phenomenons you could collect new, precious readings to help your scientific community shed some light over... the Antares Anomaly.

- It features a perfectly "supportless" floating station :) We don't want to see supports in space, do we? It was a bit complex but it was worth the trouble. The whole ride (station included) is now suspended in the air, weightlessly floating above people's head.

- Ultra high excitement! This beauty packs an amazing 8.42 in such a small space (500 meters total length) while delivering just 5.56 Fear and 1.60 Nausea. Perfect for any kind of respectable space citizen.

- Ultra compact. If it wasn't for time-space tissue distortions I could have never finished this in such a small space. Also, the support-less station system allows for plenty of space below the ride, drastically reducing the amount of space it's going to occupy on your land.

- Deploy-and-Go. No height adjustment needed. Just connect exit and entrance to the ground with 4 meters large pathways following the pre-built support structures and you're ready to go.

- Day/Night aspect - It looks pretty good in the daylight... but it's clearly done to be experienced during the night. Making it an underground ride would be perfect, of course :) Due to its size it can be easily deployed in a deep trench and then quickly covered with the terrain tool... but really, if you can't be bothered with such a trivial matter, just deploy it and switch to night-time ^^

It has, apparently, only two faults:
1) The queue is long. Really long. A certain amount of guests will refuse to walk such a long queue [knockout]
2) It's inexplicably beautyful [heart]

This looks really cool
Hey thanks! ^_^
try building inside of a large cave to give it that dark outer atmosphere.
Yes :) I have made plenty of underground scenary and darkrides in my private sandbox, while experimenting and learning... infact, I as I was saying...

there is one problem, tho. As I'm sure you know, terrain can't be saved along with the blueprint... If I had terrain tools and no 2k objects restrictions I'd definitely work with a whole different aproach :) But then you would only be able to watch the video instead of downloading the blueprint :)

The blueprint doesnt need to be in a cave, people can place it in a cave if they want

I was recommending it for your video, as a lot more people might watch your video than download the blueprint [wink] at least thats how I am cuz I dont get very good FPS on bigger parks, and when I saw it I just wished it had a black/dark background instead of trees and clouds lol

Ahhh, for my video :) Well yes, I even actually recorded an underground run... and asked myself if I had to use that or the one you see now... but I thought, eventually, that it wasn't honest to present the audience with something that they wouldn't get by downloading the blueprint :) (which is what I'm focused on)
If they want to place it underground they obviously still can, infact I even explained "Making it an underground ride would be perfect, of course. Due to its size it can be easily deployed in a deep trench and then quickly covered with the terrain tool" so I thought you maybe haven't read my post since you explained to me how to make underground rides after I've just finished explaining that myself :D )

Very nice ride :)

Thanks! [heart]

I imagine placing all those rocks up in the air was tiresome :) But the effect is worth it.

Totally! :) Also, it wasn't as tiresome as building the actual coaster that small but with those EFN values :)
And it was tricky as hell to make my "supportless floating system" :)
(Also, I'm not sure it was ever done before [cool] )

I dont necesarily read every story that people write to go along with their rides [wink] but yes I saw you wrote that, and still I thought that link to the big dark park map might be something you would enjoy [up] I was not explaining to you "how to do it" i though it might help you possibly for future uses? Its a cool map lol!

I don't think people would expect terrain is included with blueprints, as that is not possible at all. Anyway, woulda been nice to see it in the dark since not everybody will download the blueprint just to watch the same thing we already saw in your video [big grin] also would probably need a lot more lighting that way
