Coaster Fear vs Excitement calculations, am I right?

So, from my experience, it seems that your excitement rating is an average of the excitement over your entire track. So if 2/3 of your coaster is excitement 4 and 1/3 is excitement 10, the coaster's total excitement rating will be about 6.

Meanwhile, fear is calculated based on the worst section of the entire right. If 90% of the ride is fear 2, but one drop reaches fear 9, your coaster will have a fear rating around 9?

Am I interpreting this right?

I think you're right and I think it make sense like this, too.
The excitement is the average over the entire track.
The fear is the moment with the highest fear rating.
If you have fear because of the first drop, you have fear because of this drop and not because of the whole ride.

All in all, i would say you're completely right!
