I'm a big fan of Planet Coaster and love the movement of roller coaster but I would like the dev to consider about this issue
According to my previous thread : Coaster Supports Need to be more realistic!
In games, we have various types of roller coasters to build but the supports are also important elements for roller coasters. Some roller coasters have big tracks but their supports are too small or seem incompatible. Some loops or rolls of some roller coasters have no supports although I've already ticked "Track Support" So I'd like to compare the coaster supports between in games and in reality for everyone to see why coaster supports should be fixed in the next update soon.
The first one is Trident (Boomerang)
I tried to build a simple Boomerang and chose a cobra roll and a vertical loop from the games. The supports for a cobra roll seem unrealistic when compared with the Boomerang from Six Flags St Louis and Siam Park City. Also, if I choose a loop from the games but I just want to have a small loop (about 70 feet) in this photo, no support for a vertical loop. So I need to build a vertical loop at 85 feet, the supports appear! I
Boomerang Supports in reality
And when choosing the smallest vertical loops from the games, many coaster have unrealistic and incompatible supports (some have no supports, some have just one supports, some have weird supports)
and when I build bigger vertical loops, they do look unrealistic
and here are the pics from roller coaster supports in reality
Medusa from Six Flags Great Adventure
Chang from Kentucky Kingdom
Batman The Ride from Six Flags Great America
Also, the upper supports for cobra rolls of Bakasura (Giant Inverted Boomerang) disappear. And the supports for the vertical loop seem unrealistic.
Actually, they're not supposed to be floating!
and some roller coasters have their supports incompatible with the tracks
For example: Prototype Wing
The supports for chain lift tracks seems beautiful but after that the supports looks really unrealistic and they look too small for the tracks compared with Skyrush at Hershey Park
Skyrush at Hershey Park
Griffon made in game: The supports for vertical tracks are too much and inappropriate when compare with the real one
Griffon at Busch Gardens Williamsburg
Torque Launched Coaster : The supports are all the same size no matter what tracks are (standard and standard 2x pieces)
Launched Hydraulic Coaster : The supports are too thin for the tracks. So they look unrealistic and unlike a launched coaster
I hope Devs will get these issues fixed soon. Everyone here loves to build roller coasters but unrealistic supports make roller coaster look ugly.
The problems about coaster supports in games now :
Supports should be fixed to be compatible with all types of roller coasters
Some coasters which have big tracks should have bigger supports (not small or thin supports)
No matter how small or big the loops are, the support should appear (the roller coasters are not supposed to be floating in the air ... make them look unrealistic)
- For example, when I build a small loop and I choose this part from the games, they always have no supports except for Inverted 2 Seat & Inverted 4 Seat, these 2 kinds always have supports for even a very small loop
The elements of roller coasters provided in games should be made well (for example, the cobra rolls for Giant Inverted Coaster ... also no supports for this part)
When the tracks cross over the paths, the supports disappear...is there any way to fix this problem???
Thank you and hope my voice would be considered [up][wink]
