Coaster Track Overlay

Not sure if this idea has been discussed but I couldn't find it via a search so here goes:

Basically during coaster construction you can select an overlay which colours the track to give information on things such as projected train speed, passenger g-force, excitement levels, intensity, etc.

For example, with respect to passenger g-forces, the track can be gradually coloured from green (low g-forces) to amber, to red at high g-forces. Perhaps hazardous or even deadly sections could be coloured black or hollowed out if the devs wish to simulate this (which might not please those among us who like to torture their guests!). This would be useful for a number of reasons, namely if you're trying to make gentler rides you know which sections of track require adjustment to get a lower average intensity. Another reason (and the one I'm most interested in) is realism: you'll know which parts of your ride's track have too abrupt a transition into an inversion or bank for example, which can then be adjusted until satisfactory.

The excitement overlay could colour the track from white (not particularly exciting) to a deep blue (intensely exciting). This will help identify any areas of a coaster that are dragging down the overall excitement rating and these sections of track can then be adjusted or smothered in scenery. This will be useful to maximise the profitability of each coaster. However, perhaps this overlay can only be gained through paid focus testing or employing a ride tester (like the Park Manager of RCT3). This adds layers of depth to the simulation, but it's not completely necessary.

Train speed overlay would be useful to figure out if the train will even make it over the next hill, or if it's travelling too fast for a small loop, and would be a useful indication for sections of track that are too intense. Switching between overlays would be a useful thing for a budding or even pro PC coaster designer.

Naturally there can be overlays for a variety of things, but I think the ones I've mentioned would be the most important for obvious reasons. What do you think?
