Coaster/track ride speeds, stops etc..

I'm trying to build a decent dark ride but the tracked rides are too slow and the coasters can't stop then start again.. also when you wanna take off and pick up some speed it's kind of hard with a max chain lift of 15mph..

Which rides are best to do what I'm trying to do? Can anyone help?

Or if any Devs are reading, can we have an option to make the chain lift faster or maybe have a pause on coasters like the mummy at universal? Pretty please.

The Torque is the coaster in wich you can control the speeds as much as possible. But it doesn't have an holding brake.
