Coasters and rides have ticket booths?

Not sure if this has been mentioned about coasters and rides with ticket booths, but are they going to have the ability to remove them and have ticket prices at the park entrance only instead of the rides? Sorry if i missed a topic on this

Yeah, there will be optional to have a charged prize at rides or not. Not in the first alpha though. It only have the no-cost entry gate. We haven't seen how the actual payments/tickets booth going to look like.

Thanks Gysan [up] do you also know if we'll be able to remove the ticket booth for the ride as well , most theme parks that i have been to you just stand in line ... i can see a ticket booth at a fair but not at a theme park, especially if your gonna try and recreate a real park,,, Thanks again.

There has been no official information released on that, but I've seen a lot of complains surrounding the ticket booth/queue system, so hopefully PC will rework it or remove it entirely.

I think someone mentioned it before but the one thing I've always wanted in a game like this is a more realistic station. With gates for each individual car, and an employee that goes around checking lap bars.

I hope we dont have any ticket booths, i want to build a real theme park with just one entrance fee. I dont like how RCTW has a ticket booth and a ride operator booth right next to each other, it really annoys me.

I assumed, even though they are called 'ticket booths' that the staff member is just there to check heights, ages, no food, count the number of people, that kind of thing. No real life park would have the tickets sold like that, certainly not by a person standing out in the open with no security for the huge amounts of cash they must be taking. Pretty much all (mast at least) theme parks these days charge a fixed price on entry and either offer unlimited rides or a token system in exchange. Thats why most modern parks have huge queues, basically, theyve already got your cash so its not in their interest to get you on as many rides as possible!

who said they were ticket booths? every disneyland paris coaster have a cabin were they check the ride status via cameras and else...

Yes same here, all they really need to do instead of the booth is just have a person there with a line on the ground, and we can all just build our own entrance around that, nobody wants the same ticket booths at every ride.

Better yet, just do what every RCT did and automatically put up a scrolling marquee with the ride name on it where the queue connects to the main path, or at least give us control over what happens where the two converge.

The current queue/path system needs an overhaul and removing the ticket booth is the first logical step.

I like that idea [up][yesnod]

I think we wouldnt be having this conversation if they were just re named 'Entry Gate'. Looking at the animation, the staff member just stands there and smiles, they dont interact at all, so calling it a ticket booth is just a mistake IMHO. Apart from the name, I think it's fine as it is, theme parks DO work like this, having a member of staff and the entry to a ride's queue to check heights, report numbers, answer questions, etc.

On the subject of ticket booths though, I noticed the main entry portal doesnt seem to have any either, people just walk in and theres not even any difference between entry and exit, I hope thats addressed in the final version.

Yes the person standing there is fine, but the actual design they have for the booth or entrance should be simple or customizable especially for us that want to recreate real parks... and yes i do agree that the parks main entrance should have them stop and pay and not just walk right in.

Hopefully they do read these forums and take actions from the ideas we all come up with.
