Coatifan's Islands Pack

I know everyone's discussing it, but here's my shot, with the condition that I won't repeat any islands, and try to only pick endemics. So:
  • (Tasmania) Tasmanian Devil -- a conservation success story, very cute and unique.
  • (Papua New Guinea) Matschie's Tree Kangaroo -- another unique marsupial. Also, not poorly-represented in zoos.
  • (Madagascar) Fossa -- not my cup of tea but a good Madagascan option other than another lemur, and quite high in demand.
  • (New Zealand's North Island) North Island Brown Kiwi -- how could it not be? Cute, a unique bird, and undoubtedly New Zealand's most iconic species.
  • (Hispaniola) Rhinoceros Iguana -- might be too small, but a nice little make-up gift for the other two iguanas. Unique-looking and a cool reptile.
  • (Philippines) Visayan Warty Pig -- a "low-effort" pick that's still pretty unique and looks cool.
  • (Hawaii) Nene -- a good bird and one kept outside Hawaii.
  • (E) (Japanese Archipelago) Japanese Giant Salamander -- might be a bit too big, but they're fairly sedentary and rarely live in anything beyond just big tanks in zoos.
Overall I tried to get enough diversity and common species that everyone might find a species they liked, but I'll admit the last 3 habitat animals aren't as exciting.

I would love to have a rhinoceros iguana in Planet Zoo, I had one in my home state at the Greenville Zoo

Here's my take on what a good Islands pack would be, given your stipulation that each animal is from a new island:
  • Tasmanian devil (Tasmania)
  • Brown island kiwi (New Zealand)
  • Mastchie's tree-kangaroo (Papua New Guinea)
  • Lar gibbon (Sumatra)
    • Knight anole (Cuba)
This would come with either a Caribbean or Indo-Malay building theme. If it's not a building theme, add the following three animals:
  • Fossa (Madagascar)
  • Quokka (Rottnest island)
  • American flamingos (Galapagos or any of the Caribbean islands)

Interesting choices! I considered an Indonesian species but couldn't think of any -- a gibbon would be a great choice if any are endemic!

Considering what they did with the other iguanas, I'm not confident we'll ever see a habitat version.

This idea for an Islands Animal Pack has been running through my head for a while:
  • Fossa
  • Hawaiian Goose
  • Japanese Raccoon Dog
  • Kiwi
  • Rockhopper Penguin
  • Tasmanian Devil
  • Tree Kangaroo

This is an excellent idea for a pack, and one I could see Frontier doing in the future. Mine would be:
  • Lar Gibbon
  • Fossa
  • North Island Brown Kiwi
  • Tasmanian Devil
  • Goodfellow's Tree Kangaroo
  • Southern Rockhopper Penguin
  • Galapagos Fur Seal
  • Fiji Banded Iguana

I adore this idea, so I guess I'll go for a try! :>

As a default pack:

1. North Island Brown Kiwi (New Zealand) - A unique and adorable bird from an underrepresented part of the world. I love them <3

2. Tasmanian Devil (Tasmania) - Another unique and iconic Oceanian species.

3. Matschie's Tree Kangaroo (Papua New Guinea) - Pretty much the same reasons as the Tassie.

4. Fossa (Madagascar) - Would add a non-lemur animal from Madagascar.

5. (Exhibit) - If we're sticking to the one animal per island idea then the Japanese Giant Salamander, if not then the tuatara. Honestly I'd love both and can't really pick between them anyway. :>

Building theme: There are so many options to choose from here. A generic beach house theme would be wonderful (mainly for clapboard!), but some Caribbean or Maori architecture would be really nice too. Maybe a mix of two smaller themes would be beneficial here.

If it would be an animal pack, replace the building theme with:

6. Nēnē (Hawai'i) - I know it might not seem like the most exciting animal on the surface, but the game really needs more waterfowl, and they're pretty cute.

7. Lar Gibbon (Sumatra) - An interesting primate with the opportunity for some really unique animations.

8. If sticking with endemic species and not repeating islands, then a Visayan warty pig. Otherwise I'd go for a little blue penguin, South Island takahē, Tanuki or Japanese Serow. I'd like the penguin, but can understand that the last three would make for more unique additions. There are just so many options!

(Hispaniola) Rhinoceros Iguana -- might be too small, but a nice little make-up gift for the other two iguanas. Unique-looking and a cool reptile.
After a third tortoise species, this is my most wanted habitat reptile. It is around the same size as the green iguana, but the rhino is more terrestrial so I believe it shouldn't be more complicated to add for habitats than a monitor.

Tasmanian devil - Tasmania
Lar gibbon - Sumatra
Tree kangaroo - New Guinea
Fossa - Madagaskar
Anoa - Sulawesi
Sumatran rhinoceros - Borneo and Sumatra
Visayan warty pig - Philippines
Indian muntjac - Java
Ex: Fiji iguana

Honorble mentions:
Cuban hutia - Cuba
Kiwi - New Zealand
Javan langur - Java
Pig tailed macaque - Borneo
Ezo Red fox - Japan
Walrus - Walrus Islands
Musk ox - Greenland
Ex: Giant salamander - Japan

So we could easily make 2 animal packs and I would gladly buy both 🤩

In my opinion, an Islands Pack could be one of the most unique DLCs roster-wise. So I’m personally hopeful we’ll see one at some point. There’s an abundance of iconic birds, large reptiles, small mammals, and even large invertebrates that’d fit ideally within an Islands Pack (and are all highly requested animal groupings that currently aren’t well represented in PZ)

I like this list a lot. My only gripe is that I'd include the tuatara rather than the giant salamander, simply for my own personal reasons (tuatara + kiwi = complete NZ roster for me, even better if we can do it in one swoop). I'd also can the iguana because I wouldn't like the idea of 2/3 iguanas being exhibit animals and 1/3 being a habitat animal. I prefer precedent to be kept to as much as possible. In its place I'd go with the Japanese sika or the Visayan spotted deer (to go along with the pig, as these species are often shown together in zoos).

I see what you're doing regarding diversity of course.
