While I don't think Elite dangerous need a sequel, but it can definitely use an engine upgrade
As planet coaster 2 is made on improved cobra engine and supports all new tech including DLSS 3 and other stuff.
Elite already is leagues ahead than competition in many ways except in this engine/tech wise . Having something like RTGI and better textures would make a significant difference.
I know it's not impossible since other games that use upgraded cobra engine already have all the new features but it'll be a lot of work and it'll be worth it and attract lots of new players as well. Hopefully we'll see it at some point o7 .
