Community Event / Creation Cobra Lego Build. In 3Ds Max

Hello commanders, a little intro here, because I know the title sounds ridiculous :D
For my 3D modeling class we were asked to model legos and build something with them. I decided to go for an Elite ship, and got the idea from this post https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=121886, along with the instructions on how to make it.
The project is kinda pointless, I rather model the ship myself instead of modeling legos and then build the ship, but that is what the professor wants LOL

I'll be posting pictures as I go along, and I would like your opinion on what to add or remove. Bare in mind I'm in 3Ds Max, not in lego designer, so basically I can build pieces with the shapes I want (as long as I follows lego rules).

This won't be an exact replica of a cobra as I am also modifying some stuff to make my job easier.

Currently I'm adding the finishing touches to the base.

This is not the final deal, now I need to make a composition with that.
I'm just going to leave a little something from the start of my composition :p I think we all want this to happen

Let me know what you guys think

That is amazing, you should put it on Lego ideas! Or mabye try to make it in real life! Although the cockpit windshield is a little large...

Thanks guys. As said on my OP this was not my original idea, I took the concept from the post (link in OP) to make a nice project for my class.
Yesterday I worked a little bit more on that scene, check it out :)

Read whats on the cover of the instruction manual :p

Edit: Woopsie. If you see the picture you'll see that the instructions and the blue box don't seem to be from the same model. Also added a bit more realism to the scene. One can dream to get this in the mail one day :p
