Cobra MK III & Viper MK III Bobblehead feedback

At first I want to mention that the advert for the Cobra MK III Bobblehead on the frontpage of the store links to the Viper MK III Bobblehead. So if you want to make the one for the Cobra available to your customers you should maybe direct to the correct offer.

Then I've to ask myself who greenlighted something like this crap?

At least this bobblehead model is an utter disgrace. Seriously! If this was done by your 16 year old inten (trainee) ok but than you shouldn't sell it for cash.

I like them and would have purchased one already but my card insisted on this 3D security that I have yet to set up. Perhaps I can buy it from the steam store.

That's not even a bobblehead. Maybe a "bobbleship"?
I am not impressed with them either but I'm not going to boycott them.
They do look a lot better than the childrens fridge magnet alphabet bobble... things?

That booblehead is not meant to sit that large in the middle of your screed though. They look much smaller in the ship so they look pretty alright. Welcome to 3D modelling. You just use enough detail to get the job done and nothing more. Saves a lot of computing power when all these things add up.

This is a "rant", not a "feedback".
"Feedback" provides useable information on what to improve. You just blabla.

Gonna buy the Cobra, just because I'd hate to waste even more of my time and at least the link you provided works.

Yes, a new low...in 3D modelling that is.

Thanks for the welcome but I'm already a certified game artist and therefore can assess the quality of related things quite well. This here is an absolutely negative example of how things are done. See for example the untextured "pink" parts shining through. Not to talk about the horrible smoothing and texturing. I think I even spot some flipped normals in there. That modell is something a 12 y/o puts together in Blender after watching some youtube tutorials and not something I'd expect to be sold by a AAA developer. I'm really sorry if that hurts certain feelings but the truth has to be told.

No need to thank me for telling them to fix their link so you're actually able to finally buy the bobble Cobra.

Uh huh.. Taxi driver or McDonald's? :p

Oh, now you actually try to point out the faults. That's a slight improvement. :D
It's "model" btw.

Have you seen that thing in-game? It's tiny. Can't even see any of the details. :p

Which is the "feedback" and "review" I'd give it: it's very small and hard to see. I was somewhat disappointed by the size of the actual ship.
There might be limitations on how large the "bobble" part can be, in which case making bobble ships is not the greates idea.

I kinda like the stumpy cartoon look of those ship bobbles. Too bad to hear they are too small in game.

Damn you...I spilled my coffee but you're right I'm not working in that profession.

In my native language it's acutally "Modell" that's why I slipped here.

No, and I presumably never will but somebody already posted a screenshot of them in the cockpit.

This here from the store?
It's zoomed in on the dashboard. In regular view, it's even smaller.
And for some reason, the Cobra is the smallest of the 3, making it even tinyer.

From the look of the models, they probably wanted to keep the width of the ships similar. Which makes the cobra look pretty small in comparison.

Probably have to, since the bobble area around is not too large and was most likely designed with an actual bobbely head as reference.
Well, you've been informed. Expect a small-ish Cobra. :)
(which I might like better, since it's ignoreable, whereas the larger heads just make me seasick)
