Cobra Upgrades

Hi all,

I am in the process of kitting my Cobra, but having a real issue finding some A4 parts. I have an A4 Power Plant and A4 Thrusters.

Have also found a place that sells, A4 shield Generator, A4 Frame shift drive, A4 maintenance kit and A4 fuel scoop all in one place!

But I cannot seem to find the following:

A4 Power Distributor (I have A3 already)
A4 Sensors (I have A3 already)

I have been to 20 different High-Tech systems and searched all the system landing sites with "outfitting", but no joy. So do A4 class and size items exist in these two categories for the Cobra?

Hi Ogidich,

try checking out large/huge Industrial stations, I've found some of the high end kit for Cobras in there.

Make sure the high tech places are wealthy and high populated. That might help a bit.

Cobra can't fit class 4 sensors or distributor.
The number next to the item in the outfitting overview shows you the max class and currently equipped class.

the corbra sure can fit those things i need to find a place that has better shields the stock one sucks harcore.

This makes sense now as looked at the screen again this morning, so thanks for pointing out the obvious which I clearly couldn't see. FD really need to improve the manual, as stuff like this should be or stated so you know explicitly what the maximum each ship can take.

It would also be nice however to have a bit more flexibility on the internal compartment swapping, as per below image.

I just think this allows for a far greater variation in how players customise their ships, and tune their performance for their needs. I made my ship lighter by using the smaller fuel tank, ideally being able to swap this with the sensor spot would be ideal.

I can see the engines, thrusters and FSD need to be in a fixed compartment, as not something logically you can easily move. But if you can shift the position of the shield generator then logically you should be able to do the other compartments?
