Just saw this cardboard cockpit project on kickstarter. Looks to be quite an interesting addition for those that go the full hog for immersion.

I think it's a cool idea. I remember as a kid, way before computer games were out there, thinking how I could put junk stuff, cardboard boxes, etc together to form an enclosed place that I could pretend was a space ship. This looks like a nice, cheap, customizable way to add to all those immersive setups already out there.
I do have one question though. If you're using Occulus Rift, why would you need this? Maybe as a layout support so things match up, but most OR users, at least in ED, don't seem to take their hands off the HOTAS if they can help it, so it doesn't seem like it would contribute anything to game play.

Interresting. But close the shutters at the window. Otherwise the neighbors will think that the man is crazy
