Cockpit mode and key bindings

I always get a cockpit mode error when trying to use scanners. I’ve seen in other threads that I need to go into controls and change the cockpit mode but I don’t seem to have the option that others have mentioned on my PC.

For reference, I have all the fire groups configured... weapons on one and scanners on the other. I bound a key to switch back and forth but I still get the error.

I had the same issue for about 4 days until I went in to the games control panel and switched from my customer binds to another bind configuration. I went back into the game with that bind and then came back out changed the bindings back and it worked. Give it a shot
