My Cobra and this is the same for the larger ships too, has more than 1 seat. Can anyone explain the point of this other than eye candy to give you the impression of a larger cockpit?
Or might there be a plan in the future to allow passengers or a co-pilot or something?
Multiple players in one ship is something that is planned for the future. At the moment it would make sense to have an Anaconda or a Python with a fighter cockpit rather than a bridge.
It would be super boring to be along for the ride. I think it would be rad to have a hologram of your wingman sitting next to you in the cobra cockpit. Frontier Needs to add co-op flight groups first though.
It's a shame at the moment you can't at least select in your right hand panel options which seat to sit in eg: Here in the UK we sit on the correct side (the right).
