Codex entries "near me" and/or optional markers on galaxy map

In the Codex there should be a way to see a list of things "close by" e.g. within a 500LY radius or in your sector (and the list allow clicking to show the selected location in galaxy map) - and similarly the galaxy map should have marker option(s) to show classes of codex entries (though maybe not all classes/sectors at once for framerate reasons). Encourage people to easily map their routes to these interesting and lovely sites!
