Anyone know why none of our legacy exploration data isn't in our Codex? Three years worth of data and finds on EDSM isn't on my Codex.

Codex not showing legacy exploration data

Basically our exploration data doesn't carry over:

I just wanted to confirm that historical data was never something that we planned, or were able, to incorporate in to the Codex. In that way, the codex is a fresh start. I'm sorry if that's frustrating or was previously unclear.
EDIT - Apologies, I believe I could have been clearer here:
- the archive section of the codex, which is where audio logs (such as generation ship logs) should be historical
- the galactic regions section will not be, nor was ever planned to be
