Hinto everyone and a silly question.
Is there someone that knows how communication between star systems works in the elite lore? I mean beside ships jumping up and down with secret data packs...
How the news are brodcasted in the galaxy?

According to the Elite Legacy book, there are hyperspace channels that can be used for communication.

He tried hailing Freeholm through the hyperspace channels,
again without any response.

The hyperspace communications
used the same technology, although on a tiny scale, as the frame
shift drives.

He connected with the Pilots Federation database and fed the
three ship registrations into the system. Hyperspace comms were
low-bandwidth compared to the local communication channels, but
even so the search results were returned within a few minutes.
