Thanks to the salvage category of commodities, which is mostly superfluous to (mission) traders, I would like the categories to be able to collapse.
Some menus (settings, galaxy map trade routes, Holo-Me) already have this option, while the ship inventory and status panels have multiple tabs or pages to filter relevant information.
A note could be added to the category title to inform Cmdrs that they carry goods from the category they might want to sell.
I am not sure that the category titles need to be selectable in the same row of the commodities, that would slow down scrolling through the entries even more. A very narrow new row left from the categories would suffice (plus scrolling through the categories-row would increase the speed to find the right entry). A key bind for collapse/expand like in the options menu would be helpful as well.
The material lists got a bit long as well, even with the grade filter (which are not as useful if Cmdrs want to look for a material without remembering the grade), either a function to sort/filter by letter or kind (like at a material trader) would be useful.
I don't think I have missed UI-changes addressing these points in the Beta, but I can't check that now.
