Collect all your modules on FC?

I like to have all the modules at hand. Recently there have been several CG where modules are given as a reward.
I don't always complete the CG and they are completed after 2 weeks.

And now I don't remember which modules and where they are. How can I collect them all in one place?

I store all my modules at Jameson Memorial, since that's where I buy all my new ships.

I'm a bit OCD when it comes to modules storage so, whenever I'm at Jameson, I'll have a session of going through all my stored modules and transferring them, or selling them, until they're all tidied up.

FWIW, the worst thing is when you buy a new ship and then immediately upgrade all the low-spec' modules, with the result that you end-up with a bunch of E-rated modules mixed in with all the good stuff.

I was also following, but the latest CG ruined everything. I found a whole bunch of PDs at some station, I don't remember why that is.

These are your rewards from the previous CG. They are DOUBLE engineered, put them somewhere safe, good for a racing ship or explorer, not so much for combat. Most CGs have gear rewards lately that will be placed for you in the station/megaship that was 'on your side' during the CG.

I have to admit I'm actually using Inara to look through my stored modules most of the time. It's faster and more efficient than ingame. And I still have under 200 modules stored, thinking about having 600 is horrifying.

It's not actually like trying to find a needle in the haystack to find modules not stored at your current location. They are always at the bottom of the module list for every category. Going through the module categories takes what, thirty seconds?

It is annoying as heck though. Especially when the row you were checking now has moved to the top, causing a misclick. The ingame UI is functional, but not very user friendly.

I don't suffer from many issues with the UI "logic" as some do; maybe because I navigate strickly by HOTAS buttons and never, ever touch the mouse. When inside the ship, I more or less never take my hands off the HOTAS. I have six buttons - up, down, left, right, select, exit - and they do the same every time. I have noticed that mouse navigation can be hit and miss and has, on occasion, even led to accidental ship sales.

Just a thought.

I'm a full HOTAS user too, even on foot. I only use the mouse on the galaxy and system maps.
