Collecting

There is a simple and fast way to make the game more fun and not seem empty.

To do this, you need to give the opportunity to gather across the galaxy rare items (jewelry or artifacts).
You can also add the ability to view them in a room on his ship.
You can even give the opportunity to buy them for a lot of money in special places. Awards for service fractions, too, can add here.

I think it is not very difficult to implement. However, it will attract a lot of new players, as the collection is very loved by many.
In the future, these items can be activated in the global events and missions, but it is not mandatory.

Hello, SenX. :)

At first, I was going to dismiss your idea, but thinking on, it actually has some potential. Good post.

An entire room might be a stretch, especially for Sidewinder pilots, but a Trophy Cabinet makes a lot of sense. It could be viewable via the Role Switch Interface* (the same menu that takes us to the SRV - and which I understand is the expected way to access other ship functions coming later this year). Being able to view a specific object, zoom, rotate, etc, would be good.

Apart from the items you've suggested - the dedicated collectibles and service awards - I can various things going here, such as sports trophies, CG rewards and purchasable display-versions of some of the smaller Rare goods already in the game, such as the Hutton Mug.

I can see it getting immediate use by players who collect Bobbleheads - it's somewhere to put the ones not in current use (although I have not personally bought any, as of yet - I'm still waiting on a slightly enlarged scale replica of Mr Braben's nose).

Other items, not suitable for Bobblification, such as simple semi-interactive orreries or executive toys, might be made available via the store for it. I'd quite like to have little spinning models of Shinrarta Dezhra, Maia and 1-Zeta Reticuli (the full binary system, obviously, as there's not much point if 2-Zeta isn't in there). Not sure about Achenar, though - it will be truly galling if the scale model portrays an accurate shape, while the actual star in the game still looks disappointingly like a sphere.

If we can get little gold or wireframe-painted replicas of our own spaceships for a few pounds each, bobbly or not, I'd be interested in some of them. Ships from previous iterations would be welcome, especially the Krait, Asp and Panther Clipper, for me. Thinking of Thargoids, it could be done like an orrery, surrounded by Tharglets.

* That's what the Community site calls it. Terribly clunky name, IMHO - FD should've called it the Ops Panel, or something. OpStations, maybe?

Hello, DocLooshkin

Rooms must be of different sizes and hold cargo slots. Minimum 4 for example. If a player does not need a room or not enough space he can not buy it for her. Let buy a ship where there is more space.

The most important thing is to make the ability to search across the galaxy artifacts. After this exploration of deep space will be much more interesting.

For those who like to trade dobavt can be very expensive items that simply can buy in-game currency.

The main thing to give people an opportunity to get something special in the game. The real money is not needed here.
