Well, the Planck photographs from earlier this year
I think were the first to give a complete 3D rendition
of our Milky Way. So unless I'm wrong, Elite II couldn't
have been as accurate as Elite IV could be.

This said, I'm probably talking about Elite V,
if Elite IV is near completion.

In a sense, Elite 2 was more accurate as Plank is false colour (as are lots of the wonderful Hubble shots). So "mainly plain black with a few white dots" is nearer reality. I loved the way the early Elite games were based so closely on reality, within the strictures of the time. Unfortunately there's no point contacting NASA now because by the time Elite 4 is out we will be well into the Big Crunch
