Found a clipper in my eagle. Stpd high bounty. FSDI>success. Only myself and NPC in the instance - no fuzz.
Fresh ammo cans, dumped on him - disabled drives before he could book it, but ran out of ammo to finish the deed.
_
Not satisfied, I continued to juggle his dead forward momentum with my shields and repeated slams to his hull under boost to drop him down the last 15% w/o pushing him past my max velocity. 35 minute battle, down to the last bit of 'umph' > kaboom, but no blue satisfaction - no bounty collected. Satisfying as that kill was, frustration ensues...
_
Guessing based on the above I could apply this tactic to a noob and kill w/o catching bounty (wouldn't really be fun for me, just exploring the impact of this mechanic)?
_
Bug or by design?
Shouldn't collision damage count for the kill and hence the bounty?
