Collision Issues Still

Maybe aI'm missing something.. but.. I can't get terrain any closer to the log flume so far, and the terrain is also keeping me from placing flat rides still.. do I have to rebuild the log flume section? and I thought we could place our flats anywhere now

yeap. I can place objects on the flats and coasters. but I can't get terrain closer to tracks. And Terrain would have to be intersectable anymore because you can sink blueprints, they said you had to carve the tunnels yourself.. so that would mean it would go through the terrain

Im not 100% sure i understand what you mean but i can confirm tracks can be placed trough terrain.

Seems tough that stations might not be able to do so, maybe thats the problem?

I can delete the track and then raise the terrain and it will go through it when i rebuild the track (Log Flume anyway) But.. I can't edit the terrain around the track after it's placed.

Maybe a dev can help out indeed.

I wasn't quite sure before but i think i noticed this as well on water.

I can place a track trough water. But if i place the track first, i can't add the water. Your problem sounds like its the same with terrain.

I was just trying this with the DIve coaster in my park and water. Was having the same problem. Turned off auto tunnel.. and was able to place the track where I wanted in the water.

Still not about flats or editing terrain AFTER the track is there

OK.. I'm not crazy.. in the stream last week.. they definitely had the ZoZO sunk down into the ground slightly..

Not so sure, those could have been rocks as well by the looks of it.

But wasn't this supposed to be the solution to blueprint coasters being build partially underground? If so, it should work ??

I thought the terrain thing would only apply to coasters...

Surely you make the terrain first and then you lower the ride into it once your happy rather than trying to pull the terrain over it? Is that not how the above was done?

Doesn't do that either from what I'm seeing.. appplys to coasters as well as flumes. once the coaster is placed.. you can't edit the terrain around the track other than pushing.. you can't get the ground closer to the track after it's placed in other words. It seems you can take the piece out.. edit the terrain.. then put the coaster through it. but once its there you can't change it without removing the trackpiece again.. basically.. about the same way we had to do the log flumes before..

Well that seems rubbish then :/ and not at all as to what it suggested in honesty. Hopefully it's just a bug and not intended.

tried it in a new sandbox to see if it was jsut in a pre patch park.. nope.. So you can have flat terrain.. place the coaster and sink it.. then you can "push" the terrain around the track.. but once you do that, you can't "pull" it back closer. You also can't lower flat rides into the ground at all now.. not even slightly like you could a few of them.

So basically the embedded flume and rapids will behave just as poorly as they did before? It creates ugly jagged edges, and the only way to fix that is pushing the terrain away, exposing the track and making the track not truly embedded anymore. So in the end you are still messing with tons of rocks to hide the rough edges. Nice.

If the terrain is there you can place NEW track trough the landscape ;)

no.. you can smooth it out to get rid of the jagged edges.. you just have to make it the same way as before. You fix the terrain.. place the track through it.. then you can lower it.. without the jagged edges to a certain point. It will look better. But.. once you lower the terrain.. you can't pull it back.. and if your track is already placed .. you are out of luck you have to remove the piece then fix it, then put the piece back.

I 'm being picky I guess.. Its still better. Just not what I expected or a LOT easier to make what I wanna make. But beggars can't be choosers. I can still work with this more than I previously could.. plus you don't have to be super meticulous with the rocks as there is no CD anymore on those.
