I bounced off at least 2 or 3 different ships in my play tonight and the worst I got was a lost shield ring.
Not gonna jinx by saying it's "fixed", but there was a patch when I loaded the Launcher.
Haven't tried the "slow scrape" though.
Also tried kicking out the Landing Gear at various distances from the station. I didn't explode into pieces.
