sorry but I am loading a beluga for long exploration trip towards colonia, leaving tonight actually, can I just grab some these galactic journals from "LHS 3447" and bring them with me? Or would I need to ditch my passenger cabins for cargo racks? Sorry new to all this and this is my first ever journey out to the void.. cant wait..I think

Pretty sure you need a rack to bring guides.. but surely there's room for both in a Beluga?... 
I landed at Jaques just hours ago.. not carrying any guides, but plenty of Hutton Mugs, Lavian Brandy and other rares, which was sold at a serious profit..
Remember that carrying cargo makes you a target for NPC pirates, though.. I was quite jolted when some NPC pirate suddenly tried to interdict me after months in deep space... but my awesome Orca was easily able to dodge the interdiction...

TY Cmdr SL and GRATS on trip.. I am gathering missions now. people have the balls to offer me 10k for a 25kly trip.. the nerve!! I my ditch a few and grab some cargo racks.. hmmm.. man I hate interdictions with no shields (beyond normal booster)

I sold all the data at Jaques. The value does not change, you just need to be some distance away from what you scanned to sell the data, and the price will be the same.
