Colonia council @ Jaques

No UC yet to sell your data @ Colonia Hub, only @ Jaques

I'm confused : what good would another UC service do in the same system ? We still cannot sell the Jaques system data anyway, right ? And we can sell everything else @ Jaques ?
Is it just about getting rep with the new faction, or am I missing something here ?

Yes, you could easily get tons of reputation that way and support them.

Also it would partially free Jaques to eventually move on (having some of the crucial services locally).

You gain faction Rep by selling data with the Colonia Council - if they have UC at the Hub

Wonderful news, just wonderful. I'm about 7K from Jaques, so I didn't get any info regarding the new station. Thanks for posting this great news. Rep coming.

We finally can see some light at the end of the nebula. There's some player based events upcoming that will help pass the time, and keep things interesting. And now we can have some interaction between Jaques and Colonia Hub. Yaaaayyyyy!

thinking of doing something stupid..... As is my want ;-)

So, whats the longest LY jump I'd need to make to get to Jagues, e.g longest single jump commanders have done? Thinking of doing a rare commodities haul.... (told u I'm stupid) in open.

Need to know to prep ship / ship choice.

Not sure I understand the question but I did one of my bubble <-> Jaques trips in a 15ly jump range FDL without any problem.
Hope this helps (?)

people made it in unmodified t)s full of cargo ... that would be 12 ly or similar.

it is not the problem to get there, but the "problem" of how long it takes you to get there.

i made 750 jumps (with a lot of detours) - took me around 25 hours ingame.

jaques will be a happy about your rares! bring volkhab bee drones, i'd like to know whether those are still illegal at jques...

There really is no easy answer to your question. There have been many CMDRs going out to Jaques in all types of ships, with all ranges in jump distance. My first trip was in my AspX w/ 27 Ly laden range. My second and third trip was in my Anaconda with 33 Ly laden range, and now I'm going out again in my AspX w/ 44 modded Ly range. I've seen Haulers, Keelbacks, and other smaller ships there too.

There has also been a few CMDRs hauling rares out there, so you're not so stupid as you think. :) Come on out and enjoy the trip.

I did my Jaques trip in a 15LY Fed Assault ship.. and man was that a bloody long trip... dont recommend it unless you enjoy space maddness. But on the plus side the ship has the advantage of being heavily armed so a slight advantage in firepower over your regular Explorer ship. Plan to wipe out griefers with it :D

Thanks all for the replies, most helpful. If I carry 74 tonnes in the Python I get a 15LY jump range with its current set up. If i change to D rated internals etc I could probably push that comfortably higher or carry more rares. Its got a couple of mods on it for shields and thrusters but other than that its fairly standard.

No argument from me on that point.

When I first read the question, my initial thought was to take it literally and try to remember what my longest jump with jumponium was.

Ye could make it the BG in a sidewinder if ye had the patience...others have already done this and documented it elsewhere on the forums. Depends on what way ye go...I'm in between the galactic arms where I have to make jumponium jumps every 3-4 systems, taking a wide tangent month long detour before swinging around to jacques to restock/repair before heading on further into the core.

That's in an unmodded aspx with 33ly range, but I got loads of jumponium so it's no problem. Ship choice ain't really the issue...the test will be yer patience threshold to actually get there at all ^^
