Might I suggest if you are new to exploring or general long range voyaging that you make use of EDSM.

Great for planning and managing your route, discoveries etc.
I'd also suggest not take a straight line from the bubble to Colonia, visit some nebulae and various sights along the way to make the journey more interesting. I took a big detour up to get away from the beaten path and to find more undiscovered systems and for most of my trip out I cruised well below the plane. BTW this was much easier because there are less stars to worry about when plotting!
