Color!

I would love to see a color wheel or palette for the coasters in planet coaster. I know in RCT3 there were very limited options in term of colors that you could choose for your coasters, and I would like to see more customization in this area. The ability to match the colors of specific coasters in real life and recreate them would be very awesome. Also, the option to color specific pieces of track would also be helpful. Something like Top Thrill Dragster which uses alternating white and red track would be much easier to recreate realistically if you had the ability to color individual pieces of track.

Interesting ideas. Moving to suggestions forum.

RCT2 had the alternating track colors. I hope it comes back with Planet Coaster.

Also a color wheel instead of a list of already made colors willñ be phenomenal.

It can be tricky, but in RCT3, under the prefab section there's also an option which lets you paint the single elements of the scenario, including coaster pieces, although it's a piece-by-piece operation.

Also, I agree with you... a wheel colour palette would be really awesome, instead of the limited colour choice. I also agree with Angelis' Custom Tileable Texture. Those are all small but important elements which really improves the available choices and the player experience too.

I believe that you could do the same in rct3 as well, but during building mode.

Also please let us color the train car by car. <3

Please add a way to group colors into your own theme so you can easily drag that theme to apply to other rides, scenery.

I agree, what they showed for colors in RCTW was terrible and only a couple colors . I hope to be able to color almost everything to how i want it.

after seeing the latest vids on the fb page im pretty sure they will provide us with more possibilities for colouring, then we ever had before.

in rtc 3 there was this paintbrush feature for the terrain.

how about if we add this feature for coulouring our rides ? this way it would be possible to draw lines or circles to create pictures on our coastercars or rides.

imagine a coaster for example called The Snake with a huge snake on the side with tail and head [yesnod]

I was thinking the exact same thing. Maybe have a coaster car editor where you can add words, colors and designs. But being able to paint certain objects what you want would be cool but if you want it exact it would be hard.

This is something I'd reeeaally like to see.. Just imagine what you can do, making your custom - or premade - decals on the trains, then see it in action.. This would add extra customisation and I'd really like to see this feature... Who knows, maybe they're already working at it!

Would really like the option you could put a texture on the front of coaster train, so you could add logos made by you.

Yes.

And "custom tileable texture" that you can import. This can help a lot too.

Good idea!

Oh man, its true, i totally forgot you could paint parts of the track on build mode isntead of when you where building a coaster.

no custom texture and custom music
That's a shame, about the textures.
But no custom music... that's a blow to the face, at least for me... it was one of the most appreciated features in RCT3.. Please PC, don't lose your good points.. /Off topic end

Yes [sad] I do not stop to think about it since yesterday [sad]

That mean : no custom path texture, no billboard, no custom painting and no custom sound/music in any darkrides (i dont know how, so maybe just : no darkride, that would be a disaster), always the same music in any rides (in loop), etc...

It's a bad news at first, but ... an horrible bad news when you think what this implies for the others features some of us expect.

A color wheel and a color picker would be great ideas (pick color from other rides already build in your park). I would also like to save specific custom colors in a menu which could be prefered colors that you will use for multiple rides or scenery while building your park.

Ok...
That lowering a lot the postive points. Why would they do that?
I dont want their music on my own park and I want to add my own logos to things and rides. Its was one of the best things RCT3 had.
I dont mind hearing the ost of the game when I play campaign mode, but on sandbox, where im doing recreations? Im sorry but thats a serious bummer.

I suppose they confirmed this in their private forum, no?

Yes, it was confirmed earlier today on the CHC forum.
Lettuce asked: F) Will we be able to import custom music and pictures into the game similar to speakers and billboards in RCT3?
Richard Newbold (producer) answered:
F) It’s a great idea but right now, it’s not on the plan for the initial release.

I would not worry, someone will likely enable custom music or Frontier will add the feature later on. Just not for initial release.
