Colour Variants You Found

If you drop into your Franchise zoo right now and look at the animal market, or your animals in game, they will have notes in their info panel about their colouring!

We won’t be able to actually see the variations until the update releases on the 25th, but I’m curious to know how many variations will be available to us.

I found variation descriptions for almost every single habitat species, with only 17 species not having differences (yet?).
From memory, the species with no variation include:

Flamingo
Reindeer
Peacock
Zebra
Pygmy hippo
Komodo dragon
Gorilla
Ostrich
Dall Sheep
Formosan Black Bear
Okapi
Gharial
Springbok
Capuchin
Polar bear
Giant panda
Galapagos tortoise

So what descriptions have you seen? Anything new? Anything you’re really excited by or hoping for?

I really hope someone finds a king cheetah or tabby bengal in the notes, but I’m so excited and impressed at how extensive and comprehensive the variations are already! Some animals even have variation in females but not males, which reflects real life super accurately! Animals that do have colour variations have a good handful and I can imagine how beautiful they will be.

I think the list he subscribes is part of that 17.
Because of the Giant Panda that is listed there as well, I doubt it has colour variations.

I edited my original post to list them. The species I was surprised to find no variations for (they could exist, just didn’t see them or they aren’t added yet) were reindeer, peacock, komodo and flamingo.

Agree, Reindeer as well since those come in all sorts of shades as well, be it light or dark.

Yep. But really, I easily have 30 Flamingos in my zoo, it's SO visible that they are all clones. They are actually the animals where we would see it the most.

I really hope that the flamingo,reindeer,peacock and springbok have variations,because they are common within these species in the wild
(+ domestic variants for the peacock).
Otherwise this looks all very promising!

They mentioned once that they don't make all Variations at the same Time, so if they didn't change their Mind, there could be a Chance that we still get Variations for these Species. I hope we will get Variations for the Polar Bear because I never saw such a bright Polar Bear in a Zoo. I think the Giant Panda could also have similar Variations like the Polar Bear.

Does someone know if there are really only Llama Variations with brown Patches? If yes, I will be disappointed because it would be so easy to create a completely brown, black or grey Llama and other Markings. I do also fear that they maybe could replace the white Standard Llama completely for some Reason because I do only find the brown patched Llamas on the Market. They even changed the Icon

So far I haven't found any species with anything besides one or three variations, not counting the existing albino/leucistic/etc. Kind of disappointing if that's truly the extent of it.

I've started a Llama Farm in the Hope to find more Variations and hopefully also the white Standard Llama

Camels seem to have many variations, I've seen sandy, cream, and brown, there's probably more. I think some will probably be more rare, so if one hasn't been spotted it may not be non-existent. I don't think chimps have any.

Now I can confirm that a completely brown Llama also exists and it has its own Icon. I will try to collect every Variation for my Llama Farm, so the other Variations will hopefully be more common once the Update is released

Edit: my brown Llama has the Icon of the leucistic Llama outside of the Market, so I fear it will replace the leucistic Llama

Chimps have the same variation as Bonobos, which seems to be only fur colour, not skin colour? Fur is black or grey-black.

Most species have 3-4 variations (not including albino/leucistic) that i’ve found, but could certainly be more. They could also add more over time, or there could be a bunch more coming with the actual patch.

Really only 2? They could at least add Chimpanzee Variations with black Skin because the West African Chimpanzee can have this Skin Color.

One Theory I came up with while I was working on the Llama Farm is that it will maybe be possible to breed grey, black and white Llamas (hopefully also with other Markings) but they first need to add the necessary Genetics in the Update.

I found out trough the Farm and 2 Llamas in my Zoo that there are at least 3 Versions of the brown Llama.

I'm doing a little bit of Research and found a Picture that seems to show a West African Chimpanzee with dark brown Fur, so they could add this as a Variation

I don't know which Subspecies this one is, but I wanted to mention that some Chimpanzees can have really impressive Beards. Do male Chimpanzees even have them in the Game? (didn't keep them since a long Time)

I wonder if the descriptions describe the general appearance, while there are more specific patterns and shades. Or maybe like @Moonfox and @Urufu1997 said, there will be more added. Hopefully both.

The icons for the Llamas already changed.... they now have brown spots.
As soon as you have them in your zoo, it changes back to the old one

But it doesn't seem like every Variation gets a own Icon even though it would be absolutely great. That's just because for some Reason they changed the Standard Skin to a brown patched Llama. The leucistic Llama is replaced with a completely brown Llama
