We are traders, explorers, miners, and combateers. We are heroes, villains, or somewhere in between. We’re everyday people, looking to find all of those things that make the human experience so rich, so grand, and so very worth living.
But we have been betrayed.
Thanks to the efforts of the Martyr Lady Kahina Loren and her compatriots we know this to be self evident. The Club. The Pilots Federation. The Superpowers. From the Dynasty Plan to the Thargoids to the most naked power grabs they use our ships, our fortunes, and our honor for their own gains. They do this by promising credits, rank, and prestige. Play by the rules? Grind your soul into the dust? Earn a happy home in Shinrarta Dezhra and a nice discount on all future purchases.
Some of us resist, some do not, but some take this manipulative and insidious system and twist it even further for their own disturbed pleasure. The worst of these is Admiral Denton Patreus and his leadership team. Let these facts be submitted to a candid galaxy.
They stood against Lady Kahina Loren as she worked to reveal The Club and their conspiracy.
They stood aside as she was wrongly tried and imprisoned.
They assisted in freeing her in a plot to manipulate her to Patreus’ own ends.
They stood aside as their allies made murderous threats against her and her comrades.
They explicitly condoned action against her during her flight from 46 Eridani to reveal information that would benefit all of humanity.
They submit to The Club as a puppet.
They fail to prepare the Empire for the Thargoid threat.
They leverage underhanded tactics and subversion while condemning the same among their competitors.
They take advantage of new factions and Commanders in their space to further their own ends.
They persist in using Imperial allies for petty, personal vendettas.
They consistently dominate factions in their space for their own devices.
They refuse to allow the free peoples of Coma and their Sister Systems their preferred government and in doing so force submission to the The Club and their new “enhanced” bounty system.
They inspire unjust insurrection against Coma and her Sister Systems.
They relentlessly provoke those looking out for Coma and her Sister Systems.
Based on the above listed facts and other crimes we have determined Patreus to be a Tyrant and unfit to rule any free people. Therefore, Coma and Her Sister Systems hereby declare themselves free from any fealty to Admiral Denton Patreus and his leadership.
From this point forward we will work to liberate Coma and Her Sister Systems not just from Admiral Denton Patreus but any other Tyrant that would seek to subjugate them from within human space or without. On this we pledge our fortunes, our ships, and our sacred honor. Whether it be victory or death, we will blaze our own trail.
