Engineers Combat bonds for Juri Ishmaak

Hi CMDRS,
I flew quite a long journey to Giryak in my combat ship with very low FSD range only to find that there is no war going on at all so no combat zones and no possibility to gain combat bonds Do I need to wait until war breaks out in that system,or is there another way to get combat bonds for him? I really hope I don't have to wait for war to break out as it took me ages to get there. I should have looked at the system map first to check ( I did the day before and there was a war going on then ),but I stupidly assumed that there would be a war as that is the mechanism for gaining Juri's trust. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just need to claim any ole combat bond, doesn't have to be in Juri's system..

Edit, invite comes from Farseer after getting to rank 3..

Yep any combat bonds will work as long as you have at least 1m credits worth in your transactions tab. He upgrades missiles, torpedoes & mines.

Are you sure you have combat bonds (from CZ), not bounty vouchers?

Unsure about that, but the other engineers do take part payments. I paid the 1m in full though for this engineer.

Yes he definitely does,but like piercehead says they have to be combat bonds not bounties.
