Combat bonds for Juri Ishmaak

Where can I find some CZs near Giryak please? Tried looking at some systems in War status but didn't see any CZs there. All I seem to find are RES sites. Also apparently none in Merope. Need to unlock Juri Ishmaak.

You can get them from any system that there is a war or civil war. Just go to the galaxy map, and filter out systems based on 'State.' Clear every box except for 'war' and 'civil war' and you'll see plenty of systems that will have conflict zones.

Combat zones, like any other system navpoint, are only visible when you get within 1000Ls of them. So if its a large system with lots of planets thousands of Ls away, then the only way to find all the CZs is to physically visit each planet.

For convenient warfare, try to find CZs in small, compact systems where all the planets are within 1000 Ls of the primary star. M-class stars are usually good for this.

Got myself a couple mil worth of combat bonds and was able to unlock Juri Ishmaak to level 3 via the initial 100k in bonds. However, I can't sell any of my remaining combat bonds because my combat bond contact insists I don't have any to sell... Anybody know what's up with that?

Go back to the system where you got them. You can only cash in bonds to the faction who placed them so you need to find a ststaion where that faction has a presence.

The two engineers who need combat bonds (Ishmaak and Dekker) don't care where you got the combat bonds from - any system, anywhere in the Bubble will work. Just be aware, handing combat bonds in to an Engineer cancels any effect those bonds might have had on the BGS. So don't hand over any bonds to an engineer if you actually care about who wins the war.

But ordinarily, combat bonds can only be handed in to a space station where the faction that you fought for is present. The only other option is to go to a low security system and ask the Interstellar Factors mercenary contact to collect them for you (they take 25% of your profits if you choose this option). The advantage of it is, you can ask any interstellar factor to do this for you, even if they're on the opposite side of the Bubble, or out in Colonia, or whatever.

Clarification because I just found this out the hard way...

You can use any combat bonds to fulfill the initial payment and unlock his services, but it wont let you turn in any old bond to increase your rank with him. im holding 2m in bonds he wont accept and there is no war in his system so I guess I get to grind his rank the hard way lol

The difference is; SELLING vs GIVING. You'll GIVE some bonds to the engineers, and if you have more, you can SELL them in or at select stations.

The hard way? Some arbitrary rolls of whatever materials you have...

Save those bonds, you need 1M in bonds to unlock someone else.
