Engineers Combat Bonds not increasing minor faction rep?

Trying to rank up with Party of Yoru.

No missions available at their settlement, but it says that they are at war in a nearby system. So I go to nearby system, hand in 880k of combat bonds in their name. No increase.

I think hmm maybe I handed them in at the wrong system. So I go back to Yoru. Some missions have appeared finally. Do a few of missions but progress is slow, and eventually there are no missions again.

I read what the leader of the faction is saying and it says, very specifically - "we have no missions available but you can help us by handing in combat bonds."

So I go to a nearby CZ, get 550k in bonds, and hand them in.

Nothing. No rep increase. What even is this game?

I am 100% sure combat bonds increase faction rep. Cause that is the way i do any max rep with anyone. I wait till it war or civil war. And make some max rep with them. Yet idk why exactly you have such a problem..

No, they don't control any stations in the system they are at war in. I did hand in some at the station controlled by them but they were bonds for another faction. It does say "selling combat bonds here" in the blurb, but doesn't specify if they need to be from the same minor faction or any minor faction.

Usually with bonds and bounties the faction controlling the station gets the benefit, so any increase in favour goes to that faction. Even if you got those bonds by killing their ships.

That makes no sense at all and therefor fits perfectly into ED

It used to work like that in the deep past (a bug), but not anymore since quite a while.

Bounties only benefit the associated Faction, regardless of where they are handed in inside a System (otherwise it would be impossible to support a Faction that doesn't yet hold any landable assets in a System ;) )
Combat Bonds behave the same way.

Exploration Data, Trade, Bounties and Combat Bonds share a similar Transaction Server lag, meaning it can take upto several Minutes for a Faction Reputation to reflect the resulting Reputation increase.
Under ideal conditions, that Rep increase might be visible within a very short time (especially with Bounties) - but it doesn't have to.
Just give it a little time and it'll move.

Note : even momentarily logging to Menu or Quitting/Restarting the game might already account for the Rep Increase (totals), but the Trend Icons will never become visible.
Rep Increase effects needs to happen while still in-game in order to display those Trend Icons, indicating the Reputation gain has made it through the entire System and is now finally updated on your Client.

PS.
Absolutely unsure what happens when Bonds/Bounties are handed into that 25% Discount global cash-in Service though...

Handing in into another System boosts their local Influence there, but still counts just as fine for Reputation gains.
