I have been playing ED since release on PS4,in that time the only Combat i have done is skimmers on Planets,so my question is,how do i get Combat Bonds that i need to open up an Engineer?
You have to get them from pve combat in conflict zones found in systems with minor factions at war. Honestly they way it's set up now you probably only need 3 kills for the 100k you need for tod the blaster
And combat bonds have 2 values...
1 combat bond can range in credits value but is still a single combat bond...
So you get 1 combat bond per kill... the credit value is RNG per ship kill...
So to get 50 combat bonds means killing 50 ships, combat bonds credits value for those kills can change...
Credit value was recently upped with a Multiplier. that credit value multiplier is applied and shown in transaction tab only...
So to get 250K in combat bonds value in credits can now take a single kill... if RNG likes you..

Go to system, enter a point of interest of conflict zone... low, is the easiest... fly to centre of the conflict, answer the message on the comms panel, select a side...
Repeat the conflict zone by Killing ships untill you reach the requirement for the engineer... deliver the items to the engineer at their base...
If you're that inexperienced with combat, be warned - combat zones are harder than red sites. You might want to call in some favours and go with a wingmate.
CombatZones not bounties, you have to drop into a CZ choose a side and fight all the Reds, as it is now it's a breeze since they increased the values a lot.
Make sure you're fighting for the right combat bonds. IIRC, the in-game description for unlocking one of them said to turn in "x" amount of combat bonds. I showed up there with the required amount and he wasn't taking them. When I looked it up online to see if he was glitched the unlocking requirements said he wants Federation combat bonds.
