Ships Fer-de-Lance Combat build for Resource Extraction Site bounty hunting

Please take a look at my Fer-de-Lance combat build for Resource Extraction Site bounty hunting. Any suggestions re the shields, engineering or otherwise ? Any other general improvement suggestions ?

Your weapons are heavily weighted to thermal damage. If you continue with the current setup you might run into heat issues. You'll need a heat sink.

I'd recommend dropping the multicannon turrets, switch to gimballed MCs with one using a corrosive experimental, other auto loader or something.
 
The FdL needs A-rated thrusters, seconded and thirded (y)
Engineer dirty + drag drives.

If you do Res bounty hunting, you should fit a KWS, because you get more bounties then. But be aware, certain pirate & unlawful groups tend to kill you on sight then.
On the other hand they tend to kill you on sight anyways, so go for it :LOL:

FdL works great with 4 gimballed or fixed beams or bursts, engineered for efficient, and a huge overcharged corrosive Multicannon for Res duty.

Lastly, if you intend to go bounty hunting you should use a reinforced fast charge bi-weave, because it simply regenerates much faster...

I would suggest reducing the shield boosters to a point where they will recharge in a sensible time. The fdl can avoid enemy fire to a degree. I would also make sure at least one is res augmented.

I run 2 c2 multis
1 c4 beam
2 c2 beams

All g5 rated with the C4 having thermal spread.
 
Roger on the shield boosters, my shields went down to one ring today during a particualrly long action, getting them back took forever.
How many SB's would you recommend instead ? Some build adjustments;

Use a size 5 thermal resist bi-weave shield. The main problem with the normal shield is the slow recharge rate. You could keep the boosters and have more upfront shield, the only part worst to a low booster build would be the time it takes to rebuild the shield after it broke. The regeneration rate for both is the same, 2.2 MJ/s for a size 5 bi-weave.

A few changes to your build. Try to engineer as high as you have mats for or at least to grade 3. All multi-cannon help with distributor draw and having 3 incendiary is good enough to break shields.

 
TBH I prefer the Mamba (no annoying cockpit framing and all the weps on top), four gimballed beams are enough to deal with most HazRES targets add in the huge PA (or MC) for Anacondas and the like.

As most NPC's use laser weps I bias the shielding towards thermal resistance, scoop and FSD booster are for travelling so can be swapped out if needed
