Combat community goal in banki

by reading the galnet theres a community goal for combat bonds in banki. you can sign up at 2 places Antonio De Andrade Vista in Banki and Matteucci Terminal in Khasiri. i suggest going to khasiri to sign up even though its 85ish LY from banki as Matteucci Terminal is a little over 49k LS from the star vs Antonio De Andrade Vista which is over 550k LS from the star u warp into.

before i lost banki there were 2 low intensity combat zones.
the galnet also says BD+03 2338 is also in need of help, when i viewed the system it was in a state of war

Would be even better if there were 2 opposing goals, be a nice focus for PvP.
 
I've still got a couple of hundred grands worth of combat bonds from Banki that I forgot to cash.I was based over there when it kicked off but I moved on because there was not much PvP. Might head back over there...
 
Is this bugged?

I signed up at Antonio de Andre. I went after the guys showing up as red, KWS scanning them did nothing. Killed 7 red guys, got back, and was greeted with reduced Fed rep and civil unrest going up. Huh?
 
A quick update on the situation in BD+03 2338 (not Banki but I see that here you talk about both):

Two high density combat zones near the third planet, one low density near the second one...

I see why no one is doing this. Aside from the horribly confusing directions once you sign up, what happens is you get a guy down to 30%, then proceed to chase him 65km from the combat zone to finish him off. It takes 20 min to kill one viper in my cobra. Rediculous. I'm going to finish the tasking I took and go back to what I was doing.

BTW, I have 2 beam lasers and 2 rail guns. Most of my other stuff is C4 level.
 
From what I see, it's broken. I went back out after making sure I was still signed up and took a bbs for the Gold Adv Partners, killed 8 as stated, go back, Federation rep going down, anarchy/unrest going up. On the money side, I almost broke even. Moving on to something else.

I don't need to ruin my Fed rep, earn no money, and spend 20 min killing one guy, all while having no impact on what's going on.

An Eagle is not an optimal ship for conflicts, much less C grade.

I'd join in but I'm not playing until Monday and have taken a break from combat to build some capital to fully gear up my Python (I currently only have assets to run either my Conda or Python, not both).

I'm also not so keen because the cash rewards for conflicts are still much too low. And 250k as the best reward is pretty much small change. I make that bounty hunting for 30 minutes. I make over double that on one half of my trade route. That's about 5 minutes. And that 250k could take 7 days.

I love the idea and I think it'd be immense if hundreds of players took part. But for the money and much higher effort/risk ratio, this simply won't happen.

Bonds should increase by 50% each rank you gain. And the community reward should be 10 million, then scale down. So 10m, 4m, 2m, 750k, 300k and 50k. But it should only reach that scale if enough take part; it should start lower and, in brackets, tell you the maximum it can be if enough players take part. A Conda kill would be 91.125k for me (expert) and I'd have a real reason to work to higher ranks (the next rank would be 137k, then 205k, then 308k and finally 461k as Elite.

That'd mean I'd need 13 Conda kills an hour, or one every 4.6 minutes, to match my current trade route (just under 6m/hour). But only once I'm Elite. I think that'd be more than reasonable and would make combat a truly viable progression career that actually rewards you as you progress.

Nothing hinted at ship type / spec anyway. I wouldn't really expect it to. From what I saw, you should have an A spec Asp or be a really good pilot in a A spec Cobra. Most of the AI I saw there was dangerous, deadly, or Elite.

This is true and very frustrating for me as well. With the rebalance, there's just no real punch available in most Cobra loadouts now, it's all very slow attrition damage. Or you have to rearm every 2-3 kills. And the once they started running, ugh...

It is crazy fun fighting around the Cap ship swarms, but not very good for money or moral in the long term.
 
watch out for system security vessels WILL interdict you and tell you to leave but wont attack you they just speed off in another direction. Had this happen twice when trying to rearm.

i agree. i know pirates would rather keep the systems stay anarchy rather then 100% becoming a fed zone.

Only problem is this is really better served in solo, the only conflict zone in the system is crawling with friendlies because noone wants to go on the rebel side. Why would they?
 
i would like to see that a developer will supercruise to the station Antonio De Andrade Vista... I am 100% sure that they will immediately get rid of such randomly seeded stations in the systems. (more then 500.000 ls to fly.

A Level + some D level will help but yes, it's harder in 1.1
I'm running 2 beam and 2 rails too, but I'm not too happy with it. Still looking for a better layout... 4 multis, 2 multis + 2 beams..

To the people struggling with this are you selecting your side in the right hand panel
in the warzone you need to open up the right panel. Move to the right most sub heading and then select your side.

Its not made very obvious at all!!
