Ships Combat Corvette improvement (PVE & PVP)

The corvette is nimble, its durable and packs a decent bite. Even with all that going for it, I absolutely despise it. Speed dictates every importance facet of a fight whether its pace, distance or even when the engagement is over. You have to be comfortable with the idea that outside of another Corvette or the oddball Type 10 you are willingly sacrificing your ability to dictate those terms. I have never been comfortable with that and thus despise it. Others love it.

I don't despise it, an occasional big ship 1v1 can be fun but I agree, Chieftain's, FAS's and FDL's are much more enjoyable to PvP with.

You're not wrong about big ship PvP being the occasional fun. The Corvette isn't a bad ship and at least one of my regular wing-mates swears by the blasted thing. In my experience it shines in PvE and organized PvP.

Where it falls down in my experience is when you are mixing it up with someone without defined rules of engagement. An opponent that has a significant speed advantage and willingness to exploit it to maximum advantage is both dangerous and frustrating. All things being equal, I'd rather be the guy with the speed advantage than not.

Funny, I never get wrecked in my full gimbal beam Corvette. In fact she sends wings, with Anacondas, running. lol

Actual players. Chaff monkeys. I encountered the same bunch twice while poking around Borann. Each time they attacked me. It was 1 Conda and a mix of 3 smaller ships.
I took the Conda down to 40% and he ran. The small ones stuck around and kept trying. I ran out out of something, I forget what, and waked out too. It was a scary yet fun
encounter both times. I was bruised but far from wrecked.

Thanks for the offer but I don't actively PVP, I'm usually on the defensive. If we ever run into each other though, I promise I won't run. I live at Jameson. Name withheld 'till we meet.

Vette isn't a PvP boat. It's a Pve killing machine.
My build is just dead funny. Beams to strip shields and MCs to finish them off. Can murder a average ship in a cz in 30 seconds. No power draw to speak of no temp issues runs cool due to beams.
I have tried all kinds.. packhounds PA's rails etc the latter I'm good with but not on this baby. Her convergence sucks.
I'm crap with PA's too so I went for weps that combined do the job.
Ammo isn't an issue per cz. Carrier is just a few seconds away to resupply.
So.. I present draggys revenge.

A pure pve build with 13400 hit points half of that hull. So I don't rely on shields at all.
Only one scb. I don't fret if shields go down due to counter snipe.
Resistances at 50% approx.
Weps....lol as above.
Does me well.

Similar to my Combo Vette. Only mine is the other way around. Huge Beams, the rest MC. Gets the job done.
