Combat loggers, how to best report them?

Now, I have used the report function of the game several times to report combat loggers (logging off below 15 seconds).

I just wanted to ask some questions.

1. Is it even a valid reason to report someone?

2. If yes, what is the best way to report them. Ingame or via a support ticket?

3. If ingame, what report reason do you use? Criminal, hacking, other?

Thanks for your replies in advance :)

best write their names down in your manifesto. FD is very, very slow to take actions against even those who use cheat tools to kill other players.

Just like Blizzard, the forum is ruled with an iron fist, the game is basically anarchy.

1)Yes 2)ingame 3)other

You should definitively always report combat loggers, no exceptions!

I got that feeling too

1) Target the cheater, so you get his name
2) Go to the Comm panel, second tab, highlight the cheater
3) Click -> Report player

Some people use the Menu (Esc), then report, but you would need to type the cheater's name...best way to do a typo...

EDIT: Oops, combat logger, not cheater...hard to keep the guy in the Comm panel since he is gone... :)

Take a screenshot of the CMDR's name at the start of every hostile instance, if there is cheating/combat logging involved report him via hte in-game function, using that screenshot to get his name right.

The best technique is:

1) Send them a friend request

2) Spam them messages saying "cluck cluck"

Actually... don't, that could get you reported.

Well if someone do it a lot then cheating could be the reason. I was in a situation once while in combat I crashed to desktop. So it can certainly happen out of your own will or doing.

Report Combat loggers... then if some griefer is killing players for fun and nothing more... he should not be allowed to get a sidewinder for distruction to erase his bounty...if they do that its just as bad as combat logging.

noob griefers need a life.

You have little to worry about considering how little FD is doing when it comes to serial cheaters and combat loggers, the occasional CTD wont get you flagged even if you get reported..
