Combat needs a rework! Make it skill based again...

Been into combat my whole ED "career"
As far as that goes, I am still having fun from time to time, but recently, the imbalances start to become very present, and not only to people like my squad and myself, but for other groups as well.

All Frontier does is give the commanders, who lack the drive to become better, tools and gimmicks to git gud without the need to train to get the skill.
ED was advertised as a skill based space sim, that includes PvE and PvP. All I see now is Fdev adding stuff that makes skill a secondary trait to succeed in combat.
Heavy hulls with massive hitpoints, that ignore the time and energy required to accelerate their mass, tremendous amounts of Mj shields stacked with tons of shield boosters and GSRPs, mechanics that stretch fights into unbearable endurance test on who runs first out of ammo or falls asleep...
I feel like every time somebody cries out loud enough and gets enough acknowledgment from others, fdev goes all *pat on head* "here you go, eat a cookie and have another 1k Mj more for your shields along with another broken mechanic", and ofc, all gank squads and wannabe griefers jump on the occasion and use the new OP meta to make up for their lack of skill.

Seekers are basically one-button-iWin weapons, packhounds are broken as well, ships like the Krait Phantom don't require pip management, recently they stealth-nerfed TLB, and possibly even something else I am not aware of.

Add to that the fact that netcode is garbage inducing shadow-rams, miss-alligned target reticules, PDs not working or randomly only and those damn heal beams, and you have a game that caters to unskilled PvE players and PvP scrubs who run upon losing a shield ring when facing a 1v1.
Then you have everyone running the same stuff making different PvP playstyles a no-go.

Combat needs a big rework as AFK HAZresing/CZing shouldn't be a thing and skill should reign over gear.
