Just a polite query on whether FD have publicly discussed the combat aspects of Engineers at all yet? I'm not as good at keeping up with what's happening as others.
Specifically I'm referring to the NPC super-fast-firing issue, which seems to be a bug; and then in general the sudden ramp up in difficulty.
I understand it's just been patched, so not demanding action or planning to ragequit, so just asking
For me, I'm not enjoying it so much as before. Personally, I very nearly lost an Annie with 6A shield and full 0A shield boosters, 4 pips on systems, to a Deadly Annie despite focusing 100% on FSD outta there. It took about 20 seconds in total, which seemed harsh. I have enough to replace it if the worst happens (I got lucky and just quit in time), but not more than once. I was just doing a trading run.
Prior to that I was having fun with a multi-purpose Python, but every time I got interdicted I was down to 50% hull or less...
I completely realise that ED's universe isn't supposed to be the nursery school it was pre-2.1, but for me I think somewhere about 2/3 of the scale towards 2.1 would be good. Especially since, without storage, it's tough to grind any mats for the engineers when virtually every ship I encounter is a Deadly M or L with buffed stats.
Still loving the game, hope it is planned to rebalance a bit, would love to know if that's at least planned - or if it's better to check out a few other games and come back in a few weeks.
