Combat ship's price coming down?

Nuke if not news, but I just saw this on GalNet:

Yes. Check the latest dev update:

In particular...

In a minor update released before the end of the week we’ll reduce the price of non-trade ships and abolish the way fuel costs are scaled by ship type. What’s more, some of the smaller ships, like the Sidewinder will gain a powerful new advantage as their reduced profile makes them more effective for smuggling. These are minor changes but ones that dramatically increase the importance and viability of craft less suited to trading.

Also...

As with any ongoing development we’re constantly examining balancing and there are some imbalances between the roles – in particular trading is too powerful compared with other play styles. We believe a player shouldn’t feel that they have to indulge in trading to reach the next suitable ship for their preferred way to play, so to make other roles more viable we’ll continue to strengthen the role of combat pilots, miners and explorers in the galaxy, making those paths a more viable option for progression in future updates.

There you have it, folk - they are listening :)

This is good news. And a well-deserved slap on the wrist to those stating that trading was in no way OP when compared with other paths.

EDIT: Counting down to the weekend to toss my Type 6 in the bin

Good to hear as long as they don't nerf anything and buff the rest to match I'll be extremely happy.
ships already purchased will probably be worth what they were when you purchased them. Kinda of like the founders world discount.
good to hear that combat ships prices are going down especially on the vulture and the FDL ships that cost that much need to have at least adequate power management.
Also good to hear that fuel prices are going down. That was irritating, and good news to pythons, clippers, ferdies, T9s and condas.
