That's just how it goes for undermining I think.im pledged to that le yong rui guy because he gave me a discount on stuff. so thats good enough for me to return the favour.
So is there any where i can go merit collecting for him?
i dont really get this fly about interdicting people stuff. every time i win at an interdiction i get some hull damage (the same as you get when you fail evading an interdiction) and to get to hostile space in my python takes forver with how its kitted out (14ly jumps or something)
And when you get more damage interdicting people than you get in the actual fight its a bit annoying

The trouble is, at least when I was doing it in a cobra, wings.Python is pretty overkill for most undermining anyway. Most of the power play targets I see floating around are in smaller ships, occasionally a big ship, but very rare. Courier, Asp Scout, DBS or Viper IV would probably be enough for the combat, better in the mini-game and you'd get some decent jump range (and better dogfighting). I find that when I hunt small targets in my big ship I end up waiting for the cooldown anyway, but if I hunt them in my small ships it takes me about 45 seconds to kill them, just in time to jump back into supercruise.
