Combat Zones - Mission Impossible?

For the second day in a row in Wu Guinagi and HIP 1701, I've been trying to execute some Massacre missions. All of them were advertised to eliminate ships of a certain faction in Combat Zones in Wu Guinagi. I had visited all instances--at least a dozen--throughout the system and none of them were related to the advertised faction, but for other factions in the same system.

Yesterday, I took on the same ones available yesterday--still being offered--but there was only a single Low Intensity CZ in system. Ceasefire. Huh? Swept the entire system. No luck. Switched to a different instance. Still Ceasefire but the missions are still being offered.

I'm not playing the Beta. This is the current released build of 2.2.03 or whatever.

Did anyone have similar experience or is this just an isolated incident in that particular system or area. I've never had these issues with Massacre missions before. If it's a known bug is it slated to be fixed in 2.3?

Ceasefire seems to happen after the tick for the war that is over. It last until the next tick or so.
You can still engage the ships in a ceasefire zone, just be prepared to get away quickly since they all will agress you.
Stay at long range, engage with a SLF or so, some of the closest will come chase you down.

However, it's much harder to complete the missions like this when the ceasefire has kicked in - I'd recommend you don't pick up any more of them.

You need to do a bit of research on how CZs work. There's been plenty of threads on this topic recently. Everything works if you understand and play by the rules. The faction's state ticks over at 15:00 GMT, so don't take any missions after 14:00 until you confirm that the war is still on after 15:00. The local Galnet News tells you whether they're still fighting.

This I didn't know, just reped you for the smuggling guru thread.

Something I have noticed: The words 'pending state' under the faction statement, the place it tells you there is a war. It may say civil war or war, but with pending state it means there is a cease fire.
