I know FDev were reluctant to put FA-off in ED. Been talked about a lot in the past but come on it's here and a lot of pilots truly do enjoy this aspect of the 'sim' in ED.
This auto switching of FA-on is a total pain in butt!
I would love to have a menu option the same a drive assist so i can just switch it off and ignore it unless I deliberately turn the bloody thing on!
Heck why isn't the flight assist computer a module that i can remove and scrap?!?! Given how heavy sensors and stuff can be I could save so much weight from that useless module!
