Comet Mining

You have to do a mini mission to drill into the core and plant a bomb or something, should make mining a bit more fun.

I just had an interesting thought, what if that's where you could find mega deposits of Tritium for carriers? You'd be able to mind the heck out of them, they would be a different mining object so thus Fdev can tweak them without harming the existing mining hotspot settings.

Comets have particular qualities and form under specific circumstances and certain stars will form more of them, so certain rules can be figured out by the player base as to where to chiefly find them.

Comets are in the game* - they are just not displayed at the moment (I don't know why). There are a couple of stations in the game that orbit comets, someone no doubt will remember where they are and come along to tell you.
