Comets?

I was reading earlier about the 1997 Hale-Bopp comet because its the only one I've seen, then I thought is it in ED and is it possible to find it?

I've asked about Comets as well, I don't think that they're in game yet. (would love a dev comment on this) I really hope they will be, I'd love to be able to track down and cruise alongside some of the famous ones. What about massive deep space Asteroids for that matter?

Alliance Space Enforcement are still searching for the CMDR who carved an Onionhead logo into Comet Halley... All sales of mining lasers in nearby systems are being audited; lead Investigator Razor says they are closing in on a suspect and will announce more when they are ready to charge the individual in question.

That'd certainly confuse astronomers on undeveloped worlds observing said comet!

This onionhead epidemic is getting out of hand, the bloody things are appearing everywhere.

When they released the list of first discoveries just prior to 1.1 there were comets listed.
So the stellar forge seems to have added them to systems but they are currently but they are invisible.
Much like how asteroid clusters were in the beta before their assests were finished and added

Logically; its approximate location can be worked out?

Mind you by the time anyone gets there, it would have moved, a bit.

So you need to work out where it will be tomorrow then.

There was a comet in a very early screenshot/picture of what the system map may look like. I think DB mentioned something about its tail pointing in the wrong direction. They may make a return in the future,maybe
